Additional information

The system developed during this research was implemented as a prototype to support EDF Energy’s Rotating Plant/Dynamics Team responsible for fleet-wide monitoring and support [R&D Programme Manager: manus.o'donnell@edf-energy.com]. Rolls-Royce/OSys is now funding an EngD programme [2012-1016] to extend such systems and augment them with prognostic capabilities, with EDF Energy as a partner [Rolls-Royce Global EHM Capability Owner: Charlie.E.Dibsdale@o-sys.com]. The self-tuning capabilities and new prognostics uncovered in this research are being translated into the OSys monitoring system.
