Additional information

A detailed state-space model of a complex multi-terminal VSC-HVDC network is presented for small-signal stability analysis. A flexible, easy-to-implement procedure is proposed and assessed for selecting and tuning converter controller parameters to ensure system stability during faults. This Sudanese Government funded research  was conducted in collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology  (NTNU) and SINTEF Energi, as a result of the author’s appointment as Visiting Professor at NTNU. It is being used by the Norwegian Research Centre for Offshore Wind Technology [john.o.tande@sintef.no] to identify and steer future research activities in the project work package on wind integration.
