Additional information

As radio bandwidth migrates from a static to a dynamic paradigm, it becomes critical to devise a method of determining whether or not radio bandwidth is available. One method to determine radio spectrum availability, without knowing what the bandwidth is being used for, is to use multi-taper spectrum sensing. This is the first paper to provide an empirical expression for multi-taper spectrum-sensing using certain types of detectors.
