Double-weighted statement

This volume is the first academic study of the form of Irish developed by republican prisoners whilst held at HMP the Maze during the "troubles" of Northern Ireland. The methodological approach combines semiotic, historical, literary and linguistic analysis, together with semi-structured interviews. Much of the primary source material and official records were previously unavailable to scholars.
