Additional information

This is an important paper for researchers who wish to quantify the uncertainty related to thermochromic liquid crystals; the effects of rotation, layer-thickness and ageing were quantified. The output arose from collaboration between the University of Bath and Rose-Hulman University, USA (Dr JE Mayhew, Department of Mechanical Engineering). The Bath pre-swirl research that is the basis for this paper was associated with Siemens/EPSRC grant GR/M08868 (£157k).
