Creating ‘Partners for Peace’: The Palestinian Authority and the International Statebuilding Agenda

This article was the outcome of three research visits to the oPt funded by grants from the British Academy and the Council for British Research in the Levant, where extensive interviews were conducted with western donor agencies, UN agencies and Palestinian Authority officials. The article was presented in earlier forms at the Millennium conference at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2010, and the British Society for Middle East Studies conference in 2010. This led to an invitation to contribute a chapter to the Routledge Handbook on Statebuilding.
