Additional information

This new method for guaranteeing the stability of large networks by local tests is currently being used for the development of grid protocols for power systems stability, as part of the EPSRC Programme Grant "Control For Energy and Sustainability" (2009-2014, value GBP5M, in collaboration with Imperial College London, http://divf.eng.cam.ac.uk/cfes/Main/WebHome), which is resulting in considerable interest from National Grid (Lewis Dale, Regulatory Strategy Manager for the National Grid, has stated that these " ‘certificates’ appeared to be a form of presenting constraints on power systems design that power engineers would find helpful.")
