Double-weighted statement

This book is a groundbreaking study of the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and other comparative transitional justice processes. The book is based on 12 years of research covering diverse issues including justice, reconciliation, reparations and the mental health aspects of truth commissions. The work is deeply inter-disciplinary providing insights to lawyers, politicians, policymakers and mental health workers on the intricate functioning of truth commissions, and their potential social and individual impact. In 2011, the book was translated to Spanish (Springer). Resultantly, the book can reach Latin American and Spanish speaking audiences where transitional justice issues are deeply pertinent.
