Kinetic modelling of the Fenton-like oxidation of maleic acid using a heterogeneous modified polyacrylonitrile (PAN) catalyst
Further developments of this work have led to a TSB funded project (2013) with Loughborough University and industry for £990,916 (MICROCAT- TSB FILE REFERENCE: 101336, Application No. 21337-147263, allocation of £141,000 for DMU is from EPSRC Ref No. EP/K50418X/1) and to a collaboration with the Department of Chemical Engineering, Purdue University, USA. Industrial funding from Solvay Chemicals (contact: Process Research Manager at Solvay) and Reckitt-Benckiser (contact: Head of Global Technology Sourcing at Reckitt-Benckiser), both global companies, allows for the exploitation of catalyst applications.
