Additional information

<19>This work led to the filing of an International Biometric Identity Verification patent (PCT/GB2009/002769). This was used to leverage venture capital funding (£270k) to establish a company (Voicekey Ltd). The company employs two members of staff and is actively field trialling developed solutions with BT, Fujitsu & Motorola Solutions (contacts Iain Monteath,Steve Morton, Mark Jolley).

Two Technology Strategy Board (TSB 130356, 710073) smart awards (£145k) have subsequently been granted to develop secure mobile phone versions of the patented technology. A variant of the technology forms part of a TSB SBRi (971317) mcommerce contract (£50k) awarded in Feb. 2013.
