The EC regulation on insolvency proceedings: a commentary and annotated guide

The substantive commentary (excluding tables and appendixes) of the second edition (2009) is 351 pages, compared to 237 in the 2002 edition. The comparative page numbers for Professor Fletcher's sole-written chapters (1, 3 and 4) are: 16 (14 in first edition); 13 (10); and 23 (21). These revised chapters incorporate comments to 5 amending regulations which were enacted since 2002, and 4 major case decisions bearing upon its interpretation.

A total of 66 new cases were included in the entire second edition. As one of the principal editors and commentators, Professor Fletcher also performed editorial scrutiny of the other five chapters (2, and 5-8), to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the work. In the case of Chapter 8, which contains the main commentary on the Insolvency Regulation, Professor Fletcher contributed a number of signed comments to supplement the text written by the joint authors of the chapter.
