Additional information

There are many industrial applications where precise control of electrical drives is essential. This work, supported by the Egyptian government, presents an assessment of state of the art speed controllers for induction machines, demonstrating that a Fuzzy sliding mode controller gives the best performance in terms of robustness and disturbance rejection capability. This research has been applied to different industrial applications and has been implemented in an industrial electric vehicle (Contact David Hodgson, Sevcon, Email: david.hodgson@sevcon.com).
