Additional information

This has become a key reference in the field, as the demonstrated broadband tunability is a world-record in this spectral range. This result was considered one the major milestones achieved in the FP7 project “FAST-DOT”, for which Cataluna was the Work-Package Leader. This and other related work led by Cataluna, resulted in an invited paper (first author) in IEEE JSTQE (2011). This work has led to the successful implementation of similar quantum-dot core devices in optical coherence tomography systems (IEEE PTL’11, SPIE’12), as well as to the broadband second-harmonic generation of visible light (LPL’12).
