Additional information

This publication is the first to reflect upon the emergence of computing and its creative and cultural influence on broader contemporary textile and fashion sectors. The research concept is driven from the co-authored perspective of two fashion and textile practitioners whose own engagement with early digital tooling in the UK and the USA, provided particular insight into pioneering approaches linked to corresponding design sectors and parallel applications arising from evolving animation, post production, online publishing and interaction design.

The work of significant and less recognised practitioners is acknowledged in a jointly co-authored framework that includes 22 x 900 word single authored case studies (11 by each author), from interviews revealing individual and collaborative practices. International sales are 2,000 to date (2013).
