Integration of CO2 refrigeration and trigeneration systems for energy and GHG emission savings in supermarkets
The paper is a result of Defra funded project AFM280 that involved 14 industrial partners including retailers such as Tesco and refrigeration equipment manufacturers, on the development of an innovative supermarket refrigeration and environmental control system involving CO2 refrigeration and trigeneration http://www.r744.com/news/view/1279/. Results from the research on trigeneration have been used in the design of Tesco environmental stores and optimisation of CO2 refrigeration equipment working with GEA Bock (compressors), GEA Searle (gas coolers) and Bond retail Services (refrigerated display equipment).
