This paper is the only full peer-reviewed journal article ouput from a three year study funded by the Department of Health. Bauld developed the original and secured the funding for the study. Bauld coordinated the input of the research team and line managed the team trial manager (Ferguson) in developing the structure for the analysis. Bauld was closely inolved in writing and editing the article, particularly the introduction and conclusion.
