Additional information

Starting from an idea of Beresford, the formulation and production of the book was equally shared by the authors. This book focuses on research in the field of user involvement, specifically in social care. The combination of participatory research approaches with the involvement of people in policy, provision, services and support is particularly innovative. All the contributions were selected for their research rigour and originality. The strength of the book is in the strong accent on accessing diverse viewpoints and 'seldom heard voices'. The editing process included accessing contributions from service users, researchers and service user/researchers.
