Additional information

Research review. Publisher: Social Care Institute for Excellence. Online only.

This Research Briefing summarised research on reablement at the point where it became a mainstream part of services to adults. It applies rapid evidence review techniques to social care to improve the timeliness and transparency of the evidence synthesis. Economic data was also critically appraised in order to illustrate the costs and the benefits of reablement. The Briefing provides the basis for shorter summaries for different professional audiences (such as GPs) and is the basis of a NICE Evidence Accredited Guide in preparation.
