Technological innovation can enhance rehabilitation and medical interventions. Although several systems exist, their translation into clinical forums are poor. This is the first paper that quantified directly the role of user preferences and acceptability in the design of rehabilitation devices. This work was pivotal in designing a novel flexible sensor embedded in clothing [Bergmann et al, Sensors 2013].
