Additional information

This work was the result of an international collaboration between QMUL and CNR-ISMN (Italy) which came out of the EU FP7 funded ‘HINTS’ project (NMP3-SL-2011-263104). The idea has been the basis for a patent application (WO2013050983-A2). Gillin has been developing some of the ideas formulated in this work further in collaboration with Prof Yiqian Zhan at Fudan University and this has led to a recent demonstration of an electrically addressable tristable organic memory device.
