Additional information

This well cited work is latest in a series of papers published by the authors. It introduced a novel modeling and a design methodology for colour filter arrays (CFAs). CFA is an essential technology in modern digital cameras. The papers have led to 2 Chinese patents (200710177358.1, 201110087810.1) and a UK patent (1101288.7) related to CFAs that have attracted interests from industry, (Dr James Adams, principal scientist of the imaging department at Kodak, james.e.adams@kodak.com), Apical (Dr Slava Chesnokov, CTO, slava@apical.co.uk), ST Microelectronics (Dr Steve East, Future Technologies Funding and Programs Manager, steve.east@st.com).
