Additional information

<20>This is the first paper to study automatic affect recognition from touch behaviour (e.g., swipe) in touchscreen phone games. The findings are valuable for the touchscreen and mobile devices industry (e.g., phone, tablet) because they offer a non-invasive and less computationally demanding way to capture user’s emotions than current ones using facial expressions or biosensing. The paper also contributes to emotion science field as first study in naturalistic context. The model was trained and thoroughly tested on naturalistic data. The work has brought to invited talks at Industry led international events (IxDA’12-London, UXPA-India).
