Additional information

<05> This paper pioneers an original and efficient queue-decomposition approach for modeling priority scheduling of multi-class self-similar traffic with differentiated Quality-of-Service constraints. The proposed approach has been widely cited by other researchers and can be extended to handle the hybrid scheduling schemes that are used in Cisco routers. This original and rigorous work has helped to win Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project funding from a world-leading telecom company to investigate traffic engineering and reliability of practical All-IP networks and improve the Quality-of Experience of real-world network users.
