Additional information

A multi-disciplinary research on partitioned modelling of multi-physics systems. Novel and robust “Reduced Order” and “Condensed Stiffness” coupling methods with emphasis on nonlinear soil-structure interaction are developed. They possess superior characteristics in comparison with existing schemes, rendering these more general procedures to model real soil-structure interaction problems which are also applicable to other multi-physics problems (Fluid-Soil-Structure Interaction). This makes significant contribution and profound progress in advanced modelling of multi-physics systems where nonlinear modelling is of primary requirement, with application in some difficult and current areas of applied Civil Engineering in sectors such as Construction, Transportation, Oil and Gas and Water.
