Additional information

Paper introduces novel experimental procedure to characterise non-linear deformation of reinforced polymer composites at finite strain. Methodology significantly reduces testing required to identify viscoelastic parameters. Work generated interest from industry and proposed methodology has been used in testing material parameters at Bridgestone Technical Center Europe [contact: Account Executive, Bridgestone Tyre Company]. Work contributed to Ciambella's 2012 Best Doctoral Thesis Award from >80 theses submitted over 2010-2 period from Rome's Sapienza School of Industrial Engineering [tinyurl.com/gen-eng-131].
