Additional information

Removing interference from front-end of radio receivers is important and requires signal-amplitude estimation. Conventional techniques for low-cost signal-amplitude estimation are inaccurate. Paper reports vector-based approach which greatly outperforms available products. Work quickly attracted attention of Phyworks Ltd. (now MaximUK) [contact: President and CEO] and resulted in 6-month sponsorship of Warr to continue research in Phyworks and their employment of co-author Bissonauth. Resulting work at Phyworks Ltd. was included in commercial high-speed data-handling integrated-circuit product, a key asset in their subsequent acquisition by MaximUK.
