OWLS-MX : A hybrid Semantic Web service matchmaker for OWL-S services

<22>This paper is a substantial extension of the full AAMAS 2006 paper http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1160796. The extension includes detailed presentation and explanation of performance results and, most importantly, additional experimental analysis of false positives and false negatives. The research is the first (and only to our knowledge) in-depth examination and comparison of logic based reasoning for semantic matchmaking of Web services, Information Retrieval reasoning and hybrid techniques. As cloud computing and semantic annotations are becoming the prevalent computation paradigm, semantic matchmaking is a key technology for an increasing number of applications.
