Additional information

<19>The research reported in this paper was funded by the RCUK dot.rural Digital Economy Research Hub (£11.8M, 2009-2014): dotrural.ac.uk. It is being further applied in the context of the EPSRC/DST UK/India TRUMP project (trump-india-uk.org) where such flexibility is essential in managing access to patient information by medical professionals, patients and carers, and to enable more patient-centred healthcare. This research is part of an effort to form a bridge between normative representation and reasoning research in multi-agent systems and access control policies within the security and privacy domain, as well as applying these models and algorithms ‘in the wild’.
