Asymptotic rejection of finite frequency modes of general periodic disturbances in output feedback nonlinear systems
This is the first research to show how individual frequency components of a general periodic disturbance can be asymptotically rejected from a class of nonlinear systems. This result may be applied to reject certain undesirable harmonics and sub-harmonics in electrical power systems. Two PhD students are working on the application of this result to harmonics estimation and rejection in power distribution networks under the author's supervision. This result has also been followed by several research groups, e.g., UK (doi:10.1109/CDC.2011.6160889) and China (doi:10.1007/s11768-013-1058-6, doi:10.1109/TAC.2011.2173409, doi:10.1007/s11071-008-9451-2).
