This research monograph is an output of significant length and scope (140 pages), considerably exceeding the typical length of a journal article in Pure Mathematics. It is a major step in the author's long-standing research program for understanding the parameter space of quadratic rational maps, and took a number of years to complete. (Indeed, a first manuscript was produced in 2005.) Hence we believe that the output satisfies the condition of "substantial academic endeavour" stated in the Main Panel B Criteria.
