Additional information

The paper reports on the co-processing of upgraded pyrolysis oil with conventional hydrocarbon feeds in a simulated FCC process. It was shown that upgrade bio resources are suitable for co-processing schemes. There could be substantial environmental impact implementing such routes for a large scale fuel production as identified by the company BTG having been partner in the supporting research project (www.btg-btl.com > Oil Application > Pyrolysis based Biorefinery).
