Additional information

This work resulted in two key collaborations. The first with an initial industrial partner, ultimately resulting in the formation of a biomechanics company (THETAmetrix.co.uk). The second was with Cardiff University Biomedical Engineering resulting in on-going publications and conference proceedings. This paper was presented at the International Conference of the Polish Society of Biomechanics, Warsaw, Poland 2010 and the 17th Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics, Edinburgh, UK. The translation of this work from laboratory to clinic has been demonstrated by subsequent clinical analysis of low back pain sufferers. (see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22735170; and http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23058448).
