Additional information

This paper presented the first work to successfully devise a set of properties, in a general setting, that demonstrate the convergence of an agent’s belief revision and agent’s belief merging with uncertain beliefs and uncertain inputs. This framework is significant in the sense that it reveals new insight into how an autonomous agent shall manage its belief change, that is as close as possible to and is consistent with human-being’s reasoning. It was selected from the FLAIRS 2009 (Uncertainty Reasoning Track) for a post-conference special issue of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning (Kevin Grant, guest editor, kevin.grant2@uleth.ca).
