Additional information

This paper presents and validates a new time-efficient approach to the optimal design of test signals for dynamic systems. The original idea for the work was presented in the successful submission for the TSB funded project 'CREO' with the involvement of Ford, Jaguar Land Rover and Johnson‐Matthey. The resulting method is currently being evaluated for application in transient Diesel engine calibration in conjunction with the Fuel Economy & Emissions Prediction - Powertrain Calibration Controls Group of the Ford Dunton Technical Centre UK within the CREO project (Evidence file: Shenton4-1).
