Development of methodology and virtual system for optimised simulation of road design data
This output presents three years’ research collaboration between Teesside and South Korea co-funded by British Council, PMI2 (RC77) and Gyeongsang National University. It has been extensively used to underpin research into 4D modelling and BIM implementation (contact: Prof. Leen-Seok Kang, lskang@gnu.ac.kr). The work has also been commercially adopted by Daelim Industrial Co Ltd in S. Korea (Hado Kim, klavier@daelim.co.kr) for use in 5D (3D, time and cost) construction planning and optimisation software to manage their supply chain and also in the UK by Ryder Architecture (UK) through an A-graded KTP project with Teesside University (KTP007304) (contact peter.barker@bimacademy.ac.uk): see REF 3b.
