Additional information

<19>The main contribution of this work is the development of a novel least distortion approach for improving the performance of halftone image watermarking. It is one of the first few publications in the watermarking community to propose an iterative linear gain model to optimize the perceptual quality of watermarking halftone images. By incorporating the proposed model in an existing error diffusion method, our gain model method achieved overall better performance and results on perceptual quality of halftone watermarking images than without the gain model. This in turn improved the hiding capacity of the watermark and robustness against different malicious attacks.
