This paper presents the first theoretical prediction about the possibility of perfect spin-inversion in nanoscale graphene sheets, by means of purely electrical Rashba spin-orbit coupling. This may lead to electrical control of spins of electrons without the use of a magnetic field. Experimental realisation of such a technique could be the key to developing spintronic devices. Some further progress on the subject has been made (e.g. Marchenko et al., Physical Review B87(2013).
