Additional information

This paper introduces the development of a revolutionary approach to imaging on a medical accelerator using a tuneable waveguide for simultaneous treatment (high-energy x-rays) and imaging (low-energy x-rays). This approach allows imaging for tracking moving lung tumours and gives improved accuracy of dose delivery. In collaboration with Elekta, this has produced two joint patents: WO 2009/138753, WO 2009/080080.
