Additional information

This paper presents a technique that exploits the intensity vector statistics to localise and separate multiple acoustic sources. This involves not making assumptions on characteristics and numbers of sources, or their direction. This technique has already been tested by BAE systems and RNID for adoption in products for intelligence gathering and helping the hard of hearing respectively. This technology is now being licensed by the University to multiple industrial clients for various applications.
