Additional information

This exploration of VCSEL properties has been extended to consider the effects of circularly polarised optical feedback on VCSEL behaviour ( Qader et al IEEE Phot.Tech.Letts. 24,1200-1202,2012) as well leading to the appreciation of the role played by non-lasing modes in VCSEL response to external stimuli ( Qader et al IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 49 ,205-210, 2012). On the basis of this work, a research collaboration on VCSEL dynamics has been established with Prof Hong Lin, Bates College, Maine,USA who made a sabbatical research visit to Bangor in October 2013.
