<22> This paper presents two novel approaches for incorporating prior knowledge of sentiment into a topic model for sentiment analysis. This paper led to invited talks at the Institute of Automation and the Institute of Information Engineering at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It also led to the award of £3000 from Royal Academy of Engineering to collaborate with Chinese University of Hong Kong on predictive modelling from social media. A joint paper has been published in Hypertext 2013 in which we show sentiments from journalists are reliable predictor of UK's general election results.
