<09>This paper at the premier ICSE conference, reports on the first successful use of model-driven, generative-programming techniques to facilitate experimental design and execution management for distributed systems. The open-source prototype (http://www.inf.usi.ch/carzaniga/weevil/) was successfully used by others in the FP7 IP project RESERVOIR. The paper led to invited lectures at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Kiev Polytechnic Institute, National ICT Australia, Universidad Politecnica Madrid, and a keynote at the 2008 IFIP International Conference on Distributed Applications and Interoperable Systems. Acceptance 15%/371.
