Design Guide: Healthy Low Energy Home Laundering

This publication is a major output from the 3 year EPSRC project and is aimed at key policy makers in the field of health and housing. It was launched on 1st November 2012 and has been distributed to over 500 housing providers in Scotland. The publication has since gained significant media coverage. The BBC health correspondent covered the story for BBC Scotland which then got national coverage including live news interviews on Radio 4 and Radio 2. Together with TV and Radio coverage, the study was also widely reported in the mainstream press (over 200 media outlets worldwide) sparking many key policy makers to make contact with MEARU. The high level of public interest in the research findings was evident on the BBC national website where it was ranked ‘the most read news article’ that day.
