“Zhivago’s children” offers a complex and extensive thesis on the cultural-ideological impact of a post-war cohort of Soviet intellectuals on the peaceful end of the cold war and the collapse of the Soviet Union. The work is based on primary sources which were extensive, complex & difficult to access - ranging from private diaries to literary production, from visual art and cinema to sociological studies. Research for this book took a decade in a dozen archives and included numerous oral history interviews.
