Additional information

<28>This paper reports on the culmination of technical innovations developed within the European-FP6 CogKnow Project (grant no: 034025), detailing what the authors believe to be the first of its kind to provide an assistive solution addressing published unmet needs of persons with dementia and their carers. The three-phase user-driven approach to prototype development was subsequently evaluated across three European countries, involving 17 people with dementia. The outcomes from this work influenced two European funded Projects: the EU AAL ROSETTA (www.aal-europe.eu/projects/rosetta) Project and the EU FP7 Dem@Care Project (grant no. 288199).
