Wavelet-Based Image Reconstruction for Hard-Field Tomography With Severely Limited Data
This was the first application of the 2-D spatial Wavelet Transform method to image reconstruction of sparse tomography data, providing advantages over conventional methods. It contributed substantially to the £493k EPSRC GLOBAL project “Manchester Image Reconstruction and Analysis” (MIRAN; EP/K00428X/1). The method has been incorporated in the first release (September 2013) of the TIPOD open-source software package (now maintained at Edinburgh) in response to multiple requests, notably at the MIRAN Workshop on Chemical Species Tomography (www.mims.manchester.ac.uk/CSTworkshop/programme.php), with more than 20 international participants.
