Additional information

<04> This paper proposed a novel Counter-Driven Adaptive DRX (CDA-DRX) scheme. The solution tackled the problem with a new method. The scheme is easy to implement with minimum requirements of changing the existing standard, which means the deployment is cost-effective. The dynamic approach with adjustable parameters for the different performance criteria, is applicable to both 3GPP and WiMAX standards. Another advantage is that it does not introduce extra signalling overhead. The paper also theoretically analysed the performance of the scheme under a well known traffic model. This is a good example of a successful practical oriented research.
