Ergodic Capacity for the SIMO Nakagami-m Channel
<27> We present closed-form expressions for the ergodic channel capacity of SIMO (single-input and multiple output) wireless channels operating in a Nakagami-m fading channel under several diversity schemes such as maximal ratio combining (MRC), equal gain combining (EGC), selection combining (SC), switch and stay (SSC) and also when no diversity is employed. Analytical expressions are very important as they can be used to assess explicitly and without simulations the performance of wireless channels. Our analysis is important for assessing the performance of SIMO wireless channels, which depends on the related diversity technique presenting a comparative analysis.
