Additional information

An output from the EPSRC Jet Noise Grant (GR/S43207/01). The paper presents a novel use for computational data to inform an acoustic analogy noise solver, rather than using empirical input. The importance of the work arises from the accurate prediction of subsonic round jet noise using the methodology. This paper has had a significant influence on the research field; the methodology and its results have set the international framework for further research in the prediction of jet noise using acoustic analogies (P.J. Morris, Acoustics 2012 Nantes Conference).
