The volume as a whole is a collaborative scholarly edition, under the general editorship of Whaley, in which a variety of contributing editors were each responsible for a poet or selection of poets. Carroll edited Eiríksdrápa by Þórðr Kolbeinsson; her edition comprises a biography of the poet, an introduction, text, translation, textual apparatus, and extensive notes.
